An attorney and aspiring author, John Michael Myers has completed one novel and is currently working on a second. He balances his writing with his work as a partner with Phillips, Moore, Traylor & Myers, LLP, where he handles a range of family law cases. Also experienced in mediation and litigation, John Michael Myers guides clients through the complicated processes of divorce, custody and parenting time negotiations, real estate division, and other complex business interests.
Before accepting his current position, Mr. Myers spent time as an associate with Hurley Re, PC, in Bend, where his duties included creating wills and trusts for Oregon residents. He earned a law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia, and a bachelor of arts in political science and history from Gonzaga University.
Over the years, Mr. Myers has held a number of community positions, including trustee and board of directors member with Kalispell Public Schools, the Flathead Community Foundation, and Samaritan House. In his free time, he enjoys playing chess, cooking, and exploring central Oregon’s hiking and cross-country skiing trails.
